“You’ve seen the message: Jesus came, He died, and He arose—just for you. But what does that really mean?
Well this is what Easter is truly about—a celebration of the central truth of the gospel message: the hope we have after death. And while Easter is about a gift, it’s not the kind that comes from a bunny.
Easter is about God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ,
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23 NLT). Will you open this gift?
Easter brings hope, new beginnings, and Eternal Life, made possible by the One who loved us enough to die in our place, Jesus Christ. For much of the world, Easter is only a tradition celebrated by colored Easter Eggs and the Easter Bunny. To the Followers of Christ, the true message of Easter proclaims the greatest act of love known to man.
In the beginning, God created humanity to have a loving relationship with Him. However, our disobedience and sin separated us from God. But God didn’t give up on us. He had a plan to bring us back to Him. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to save us. Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life, and He willingly gave His life on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. He took upon Himself the punishment that we deserved. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, triumphing over sin and death. This incredible event is at the heart of the Christian faith and gives us hope for eternal life with God.
To receive this incredible gift of salvation, we must acknowledge our need for a Saviour, repent of our sins, and place our faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
When we choose to believe and surrender our life to Jesus, his blood cleanses us from all our sin. As we accept this gift of salvation, we are reunited with God. Jesus becomes our personal Saviour, and we can enjoy the blessings of being his child! Someday Jesus is coming back. He will take all the true believers to heaven and there they will live forever with God. It is my sincere prayer you will make that all-important decision today. If you are ready to commit your life to Jesus Christ, then pray this prayer:
“Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and Saviour of the world. I believe that you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I believe that through your sacrifice, I am a new person. Forgive me for my sin and fill me with your Spirit. Today, I choose to follow you for the rest of my life as Lord of my life. Amen.”

Easter, is more than a mere commemoration—it is a proclamation of hope, a declaration of God’s unfathomable love for humanity. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are reconciled to God, forgiven of our sins, and granted the promise of new life.
As we celebrate Easter this year, let us remember the profound significance of this holy day. Let us reflect on the sacrificial love of Christ and the power of his resurrection to transform lives. And may we always share the gospel message of Easter—the message of redemption, restoration, and eternal life—with a world in need of hope.
